The new architecture allows us to run queries directly on raw event data, offering dynamic sorting and filtering—an improvement that enables more accurate insights.
We’re excited about the progress we’re making in improving the ecosystem of analytics for open source. Your feedback is crucial to shaping Scarf’s future, and together, we’re building a stronger foundation for open source businesses.
Ground-Up Redesign of Data Architecture
Early this quarter, we undertook a significant overhaul of our data architecture, allowing us to expand our capacity for real-time analytics and enriching our data-handling capabilities.
Dynamic Sorting and Filtering
Our shift to the new column-oriented structure has allowed us to introduce:
- Enhanced Filters: Save, share, and apply filters across your datasets to streamline your analytics processes.
- Metadata Enrichment: Enriched event data with new dimensions such as region, organization type, and more, allowing for more granular data insights.

Data Export and Strategic Partnerships
Understanding that data is only valuable when it’s actionable, we’ve improved our data export functionality. Initiatives supporting integrations with platforms like AWS S3 and more to come.

Feedback Mechanisms
In order to make data matching and identification even more reliable, we’ve introduced additional robust feedback loops:
- Intercom in Scarf Dashboard: Users can now provide feedback directly from the dashboard, helping us refine and improve our matching algorithms.
- Continuous Improvement: This user-driven approach ensures that our records are continually updated, resulting in more precise data matching over time.
Looking Forward
As we move into the next quarter, we’re focusing on several key areas:
- Data Quality and Accuracy: Continued refinement of data matching and accuracy.
- Augmented Firmographics: Expanding the range of data attributes we collect, like company size, industry, revenue, and more, to provide deeper insights.
- First-Party Data Integrations: Rolling out integrations with CRM tools like Salesforce and HubSpot, embedding Scarf data directly into your day-to-day workflows.
Whether you attended the Scarf Summit or not, we thank you for your support and for being an essential part of this community. We look forward to all the progress we’ll continue to make together.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Introducing Scarf's New Pricing Model
Today we are launching a new pricing model for new Scarf accounts going forward, and we'd love your feedback. For customers already on a paid Scarf plan, your billing will not be impacted by this change.
Scarf Go SDK is Now Available
Scarf's Go SDK is now available on GitHub. You can now send telemetry to Scarf from your Golang code more easily than ever, with things like user opt-out being managed for you.
Scarf's GitBook Integration Is Live!
A common request we've received from the Scarf community is that many of you are using GitBook for your docs, which does not directly support a way to embed your Scarf tracking pixel.
