Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Community Marketing Manager to join us as we set out to make Scarf a standard in the open source community broadly. The ideal candidate will have experience in social media management, content creation and editing, event planning, and community building. The role will involve a mix of marketing and community management responsibilities, with a focus on growing our social media presence, promoting our podcasts and videos, and building a strong community around Scarf and its activities in the open source ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments, and growing followers
  • Assist in editing and promotion of podcasts and videos
  • Create and promote blogs, videos, and other content
  • Schedule guests and coordinate logistics for podcast appearances
  • Organize case studies and success stories from Open Source projects using Scarf
  • Help plan and execute event activities for conferences and other community events
  • Track and report on Scarf's impact within the open source community through contributions
  • Update website and other copy as needed
  • Build engaging and exciting stories, memes, and content for Scarf
  • Help establish and grow a community of open source business metrics enthusiasts.
  • Nice to Have: Work on developing yourself as an external open source evangelist for Scarf, by attending meetups and conferences, and engaging with other open-source communities to promote Scarf.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing or community management role
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms
  • Experience creating and editing content for a variety of formats, including blogs, podcasts, and videos
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for open source and community building
  • Experience with website management and copywriting is a plus.
  • Availability for light travel throughout the year
